Full Body Armor

(Update: The inverntor tried to sell it on eBay)

You probably don’t want to get me going on Iraq, but if the pentagon wanted to protect our boys, we would put them in this.

The whole suit comes in at 18 kilograms. It covers everything but the fingertips and the major joints, and could be mass-produced for about $2,000, Hurtubise says.

  1. That looks like something from Battlestar Galactia!

  2. Wow, I’d like to see you dressed up in that babe!

  3. Does it come in XXL? Oh, I would also need a Slurpee holder.

  4. Recently a new type of body armor made its debut on the new discovery channel show “Future Weapons.” The new armor, called Dragon Skin because of the unique interlocking plates that comprise the armor, is tough stuff. It’s flexible and can easily spread out the kinetic impact of a bullet because of the way its structured.

The amazing thing about this new armor is that it stood up to everything they threw at it: all manner of assault rifles were fired into it and the armor seemed to suffer nothing more than cosmetic damage. It even stopped a frag grenade at point blank range and even though it took significant damage, there was ultimately no penetration.

Equally amazing, however, is the shear idiocy with which it was developed. After spending who knows how much money developing this new “super armor” they have completley and utterly FAILED to actually innovate something like you, Mr. Burns.

I am not a soldier, but will soon be required to register for the selective services. While I have no intention of joining the military, this issue does greatly concern me. What if the draft were ever reinstated? Where would that leave me? Even if your armor isn’t as durable… which I just realized I don’t know if it is or not, but even if it weren’t I would STILL wear your armor in the field if I were given the choice. I believe most soldiers would too.

I will be submitting your armor to the Future Weapons site soon in the hopes that they will include it in their program. Dragon Skin? HA! Meet your better: the Trojan.

  5. How did you build it I want to build some armor mail me

  6. It’s a great suit except you fingers are vulnerable. It’s just dumb luck if your fingers get shot off during battle.

  7. Кстати, по радио программа была об этом. Не помню, правда на какой волне…
