Sunday prayer

Gracious father,

We praise you and thank you. We thank you for our lives, we thank you for health and the peace that we enjoy on a daily basis.

We thank you for the blessing of family, for husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, sons and daughters.

We thank you for the blessing of church, of covenant community, the unity of the brethren.

We thank you for our country, for peace and security,

Lord we ask for wisdom for our times. Forgive us for our ingratitude, We see that the world is not as it should be but we ask for knowledge of how we are to play our part in the cultural transformation of our families, cities, state, and country. Teach us how to serve and to preach good news to the poor. to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. You have given us freedom, please allow the Gospel to be preached in all we do and say.

We pray for our Government, and remind you of your word, that if we ask of You, you will make the nations our inheritance. We ask and call on our civil government to Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling.  To Kiss the Son, lest he be angry.. Blessed are all who take refuge in you Lord.

We ask for your continued favor on us and direction in our worship of you. Guide us and reveal your will through the scriptures and the whole counsel of God.

We ask for protection and for health. For the continued health of mothers and babies. And children that love to run and play. For the health and strength of the men providing for their families.

We ask for the full healing of Antonia, and thank you for the progress she has made, and the blessing that she is to her family and to this body.

We pray for Dean and Covey as they lead this body.

Help us to live in community with one another. to discover what that looks like in this present age. We ask that you would give us wisdom in finances, creativity and diligence. Teach us to sow with wisdom , not as the crowd, in order that we may reap a harvest.

We ask that you would teach the men to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, We ask that you would teach the wives to respect their husbands and submit with joy. Teach parents to train up children as a blessing, and as arrows that will strike fear in the enemy.

We praise you and thank you Father,

Amen
